Cabin was clean and comfortable with a beautiful deck. Hedges on either side were grown up sufficiently to make it feel quite private. Drop off from deck also added to privacy. We used the BBQ every day. Loved the resident Stellar Jays. Deck would be perfect for kids or dogs, although we didn't bring any. Kitchen had a minimum of utensils and dishes and lacked a basic coffee brewer. (Only had a single cup fancy brewer) Overall enjoyed our stay and would return.
Very clean, perfect size for our group of 5 and a great location. The sauna was a lovely touch, especially as BC had a campfire ban during our stay. Wonderful place to stay for a few days before we started the West Coast Trail.
We had a wonderful time with our family at Handsome Dan’s. Unit 216b was spacious enough for the two of us. Our cottage was clean with a comfortable Queen bed. The location was perfect, close to beaches and hiking trails. We would come back next year but it isn’t available. We book a different unit for next summer.
It would have been nice to have had Netflix to entertain our grandchildren. Their units had that option. The view of Juan de Fuca was spectacular every day from our deck. We spent 4 nights and it was hard to leave. Port Renfrew is definitely a place to explore.
We enjoyed our stay in this absolutely charming cottage. Very well appointed, and has everything you need. The yard outside has been beautifully designed and landscaped to maximize privacy and outdoor enjoyment! Love the stone patios and sculpture! Would highly recommend Zack and Lexi’s!
The French Girl's Lair was a great place for a short visit to Port Renfrew. Everything was as advertised, cozy and efficient. The instructions were detailed and everything we needed was close at hand. The power was out when we arrived but there were plenty of flashlights and the propane fireplace started right up using a backup battery. We were able to use the propane stove and the BBQ to look after our cooking needs. The Renfrew Pub is great!
The cottage had everything we needed. With many of the restaurants closed this time of year we used the kitchen and found everything we needed. Great views.
One small point - the website said firewood for the fire pit was provided however the docs inside the cabin said you had to provide your own. This should be changed on the website.
Wonderful clean, comfy & cozy cabin to return to after a few days of area hikes. Great communication with management. Cabin was warm & well appointed..... the only thing we were missing was a teapot! Will definitely return👍
This little cottage was very clean and tastefully decorated. We had everything we needed to live like we were in our own home. The view of Port Renfrew was just spectacular. We ended our last night there with a hot tub and a fire. Was a nice getaway spot for us to fish during the 2 days we were there. We will be back for sure!
We ended our trip around the island here and it was perfect. The vibe was so cozy and private. There was a campfire ban during our stay but we still enjoyed the hanging out on the deck amongst the trees, it was so peaceful. The sauna was such a welcome treat after a chilly evening. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
We had a fantastic little three-day getaway at Wickham's Wake. The view was spectacular! We loved how close it was to Botanical Beach as well as Pacheedaht Beach. The kids loved having their own room with twin beds. We will definitely be back!

Our family stayed at the cottage while we attended our son's wedding in Port Renfrew. Very clean nice suite. Had all the amenities we needed. Great views. Would definitely
recommend this cottage. Hope to come back in the near future.
I spent 2 night in Unit 228. It was very clean with lovely furnishings & decor. It was outfitted with everything we needed. We mostly sat by the fire & enjoyed the spectacular view. We couldn't have been more comfortable and relaxed, and can't wait to return!
So cozy and peaceful. Cabins were so well equipped. Our stay was too short but we definitely want to come back to do more fishing and exploring.
Fabulous 2 night winter stay in this beautiful space. The layout of the cottage was great for 5 adults. Fireplace so cozy. The kitchen is so well stocked with everything you need and items that are just very thoughtful. The cottage is well looked after and very clean. We will highly recommend to friends/family.
Had such a wonderful stay. Made our own healthy meals,even found some parchment paper to bake the yam on. Went hiking and took lots of pictures.
Definitely will be back, loved it!
